254SMO Stainless Steel Pipe Description
254SMO is a highly corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steel, mainly used in environments of high-concentration chloride ion and highly corrosive media, such as seawater, salt water, wet chlorine, acetic acid, formic acid, acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, hypochlorous acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, etc.. On the other hand, it also possesses good processing performance and welding performance. Besides, it is very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion as a result of its high content of chromium and molybdenum. As this special stainless steel is a high-alloy material, the manufacturing process is quite complex. Generally, only traditional processes are adopted to manufacture this special stainless steel, such as pouring, forging, rolling, etc.
